UPDATE (11/7 – 8:20 p.m.):  — The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a man mentioned in the police report of missing Macon resident Gabriella Dixon has been arrested but did not specify if the charges are in connection with her disappearance.

Jail records show Reginald Bernard Harris, the father of Gabriella Dixon’s children, was booked into the Bibb County Jail around 2 p.m. Tuesday. He’s charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, and battery – family violence.

41NBC reached out to Bibb County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lt. Clay Williams to ask if the arrest was made in connection with the disappearance of Gabriella Dixon. Williams would only say Harris was arrested on outstanding warrants, but Williams did confirm it’s the same Reginald Harris listed in the police report.

UPDATE (11/7 – 11 a.m.):  The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office continues to seek assistance in locating Gabriella Dixon, an 18-year-old reported missing since October 30 under circumstances that have raised community concern.

Gabriella was last seen by her brother on October 30, and family members have tried unsuccessfully since then to contact her. According to her mother, Gabrella Searcy, Gabriella’s children have made alarming comments since she was last seen.

However, the sheriff’s office public information officer clarified Tuesday the case is still being investigated as a missing person case.

“At this time this incident is being investigated as a missing person until evidence that a homicide has occurred is confirmed,” the PIO wrote in an email in response to Monday evening questions about the case from 41NBC.

The police report narrative, obtained by 41NBC, revealed Searcy had not been able to reach her daughter and that the father of Gabriella’s children, Reginald Harris, was acting “very suspicious,” according to Searcy.

The report noted Harris had brought the children to Searcy’s home on October 30 and that the 2-year-old said, “Momma was in blood.”

“The older grandchild told the 2-year-old that, ‘It was okay, Momma is sleeping,'” the narrative stated.

Investigators have searched multiple locations, including Dixon’s last known address.

“Nothing was disturbed inside the apartment and there was no indication that a crime had been committed as this location,” the responding deputy wrote in the report. Deputies also searched Dixon’s Pinehill Drive address for Dixon and Harris, but neither were there. The owner told deputies Harris had “just left several minutes prior.”

Another deputy on scene told the responding deputy he “had dealings with Gabi before,” the responding deputy wrote, and had advised her to get a Temporary Protective Order (TPO) on Reginald. A database search by the responding deputy did not reveal any TPOs.

The deputy wrote that Harris was being labeled a “possible suspect” based on past altercations and the family’s statements but concluded the report by saying there was “no suspect information” at the time of the report.

Gabriella Dixon is about 5’1″ and weighs about 150 pounds. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information about Gabriella Dixon’s disappearance to contact them at (478) 751-7500 or Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
