Shaaz Peerani was born and raised in Georgia, spending the first eight years of his childhood here in Macon. He was a former Division I tennis player at Troy University and earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism during his time there. Shaaz attended acting school in Mumbai, India in early 2020 when COVID-19 halted the program and forced Shaaz back home. He went on to attend Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University where he earned his MS in Journalism with a specialization in Sports Media this August 2021. He is a big Atlanta sports fan (besides the Hawks, as he knows LeBron is the GOAT).
