Mercer WBB earns first victory on the season in their home-opener (highlights)

The Bears have five returners and seven newcomers.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –After falling in their season opener to Western Kentucky, the Mercer women’s basketball team took advantage of home court, winning their first game of the season 70-62 against Florida Atlantic at Hawkins Arena.

The Bears have only five returners and seven newcomers this season. One of the newcomers is former Veterans Warhawk Stacie Jones, who led the Bears with 20 points and 13 rebounds in their home opener.

Mercer will be back at Hawkins Arena on Thursday, Nov. 16, taking on the Georgia Bulldogs at 7 p.m.
