NASCAR driver Kyle Busch racing in Cordele’s Speedfest in January

CORDELE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series star Kyle Busch will race a Super Late Model at Crisp Motorsports Park’s “Speedfest” next month.

The annual late model doubleheader on Saturday, January 26 features a 125-lap CRA Pro Late Model Race followed by a 200-lap CRA Super Late Model race.

Some of the nation’s top short track drivers, along with drivers who’ve made their way to NASCAR, attend the event every year. Past participants include Busch, Unadilla native David Ragan and Dawsonville’s Chase Elliott.

Fans will have a chance to meet Busch, the 2015 MENCS champion, before the races begin Saturday in what he calls a “Rowdy Roundup.”

Tickets for the meet and greet can be purchased for $125 at RowdyBusch.com or at the Crisp Motorsports Park ticket office. Tickets give you the opportunity to have Busch autograph two items and get your photo made with him, plus seating in the general admission area for the races.

The weekend gets started Friday, January 25 with practice and qualifying. There will also be two 50-lap feature races in the Wheelman and Pro Truck Series.

Saturday’s action includes Legends and Bandolero racing before the late models hit the track.
