Living Well with Troy Thompson: Dealing with Cellulite

(41NBC/WMGT) — Today Troy Thompson and resident Dermatologist Dr. Anna M. Pare discuss what cellulite is, and if you’re looking to help scale back on it, what treatments can you get?

Cellulite is the dimpling on the back of the thighs and is mostly related to genetics. It is influenced by diet and hormone changes which can either increase or decrease cellulite.

Treatment for cellulite has been difficult to pin down as time has gone on but a recent development has proven to be quite effective. It’s an injectable oil that helps with resolution of fibrous bends of the septic bends that pull down the tissue. It is injected while in the office and typically takes three treatments done 21 days apart. The treatment is relatively painless and works quite well.
