The City of Warner Robins announced Monday a "significant partnership" with No Limit Baptist Church to address the needs of the homeless during frigid nights.

UPDATE (11/27): The City of Warner Robins announced Monday a “significant partnership” with No Limit Baptist Church to address the needs of the homeless during frigid nights.

“The community can play a crucial role in supporting this initiative by donating items to shelter, located at 1352 Radio Loop, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088,” the city stated in a Facebook post.

The warming shelter will begin operations on November 28 and will be open when the temperature drops below 32 degrees.

Hours will be from 5 p.m. to 8 a.m. Intake will be from 5 to 6 p.m.

The church is asking for the following donations:

  • Bedding (pillows, blankets, sheets)
  • Hot plated meals
  • Bagged meals (non-perishable food items)
  • Paper products (cups, plates, napkins, utensils, toilet paper, etc.)
  • Hand washing stations
  • Travel-sized hygiene products for care packages
  • Space heaters
  • Monetary donations
  • Volunteers

WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – As colder weather approaches, the City of Warner Robins says there’s a need for an emergency shelter for the homeless due to The Table Church stepping back from its previous winter support efforts.

“We are actively seeking a new partner or location to help as an emergency shelter when temperatures drop below 32 degrees,” the city stated in a news release on Monday.

The city says it plans to launch a dedicated city shelter by spring 2024.
