DUBLIN, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin is set to hold a Caregiver and Family Resource Fair later this month.

The goal is to connect and support individuals who are dedicated to caring for veterans.

Scheduled for November 15 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the event will coincide with National Family Caregivers Month and will be held in the facility’s auditorium on the second floor of Building 2, according to a Carl Vinson VA Medical Center news release.

The fair will highlight the VA’s Caregiver Support Services program, which operates under the philosophy that veterans’ health and quality of life is enhanced by being in a home-like environment, but that caregivers and veterans need to know that the VA is available for information and resources.

“It takes a lot to care for veterans in the home environment,” VA social worker and Caregiver Support coordinator Tiffany Oliver said. “This event will allow us to get caregivers and healthcare professionals in the same room at the same time to coordinate our veterans care.”
